Announcement to parents about change of start date for Fall term

Parents,

We are very excited to have Dr. Buster Lackey as our new School Director.  Dr. Lackey began work on July 1st and he has very exciting additions and changes for our school.  In order to accommodate Dr. Lackey’s plans, we are moving our first day of classes back to Thursday, August 19th for high school and junior high students.  I hope this change is not too much of an inconvenience for your family.   Some of our changes include implementing a full lunch program, adding additional classroom space and training additional teachers.

If you any have questions or concerns, please call me.

Mrs. Sally Wilson,

Have you been unsuccessful in your previous educational endeavors? Have your daily demands forced you to leave school before graduation, or made you think about giving up? Do you feel like you have run out of options, and have no opportunity to further or complete your education? Regardless of your present and past adversities, the Osceola Communication, Arts, and Business School is your answer.

We offer a diverse course of study with many educational alternatives. OCABS strives to meet the ever changing needs of its students, so classes are offered in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings to accommodate work schedules and other hardships that make an 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. educational program impracticable. We work for you, so one day you can work with us.

At OCABS, not only can you earn a fully accredited high school diploma, but you can obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare yourself for many of the higher paying jobs in the area. An educated and trained workforce is vital to the economic development of our county, and we provide access to many of the college credit opportunities and technical programs required to meet those eminent demands.

If you are under 22 years of age, let the Osceola Communication, Arts, and Business School pave your road to success. Creative learning in a unique environment begins with diversity. We invite people from all socio-economic backgrounds and walks of life to apply. Our application process for the fall term is from March 1 through March 15. Space is limited. So in case of over enrollment, a public lottery will be held the following week to determine fall enrollment. For more information on becoming a part of this innovative educational opportunity and application procedures, please contact the school office at 870-622-0550, or via email at ocabs@yahoo.com.
